SmartStop
A service design project to redesign the Pittsburgh Transit system with three other individuals with backgrounds in art, design, and information sciences.
To fully understand the needs of the users of the bus system, user research was conducted in the form of ethnographic interviews with riders of the Pittsburgh transit system. Based on the insights gathered from research, the final design addressed the problems riders had with the current system. In order to maximize the benefits of the redesign, the focus was on smaller bus stops rather than larger bus shelters.
