8x8 LED Matrix game: Falldown Storm
I created an 8x8 LED Matrix game as a first project experimenting with both code and hardware. The game was inspired by the popular falldown game found on most TI-83 calculators. The object of the game is to avoid the falling blocks. A potentiometer is used as the control and it features a sad face when the player loses.
Skills used: basic hardware and circuitry knowledge, programming in C, lots and lots of patience
Primary Materials: Arduino Nano, 8x8 LED Matrix, Solderless breadboard, wires, potentiometer.
Ideas for future iterations: Retain high scores, increasing speed, countdown

Two quick demos:
This one is in a darker room, which shows the brightness of the LEDs. (I also lose a lot in this one, so it might be more frustrating to watch.)
This one has more background lighting. The hardware components are more visible.
